This winter our Guides have been taking a much needed break from the hustle around the Flathead, and our owner Gray Gordon took an amazing fishing expedition to New Zealand.
"I had an amazing experience fishing in NZ. From Fly fishing for big trout, to fishing the salt for Blue Cod, Snapper, and a local favorite to NZ - the Kahawai. Kahawai are in abundance all over both islands and really test the ability of your gear for their medium to smaller size. Every ounce of these fish is packed with strong fighting fish anger! So fun to hook into on a fly rod or lightweight spinning rod and also delicious for ceviche! It was such a fun trip but I am looking forward to getting back out on the water here in the Flathead."
